The A300 Outlander is elegant but rational, soft and slender, with a balanced line with a strong character: it already stands out at first sight.
The breech box, obtained and carefully machined from a solid piece of a special light alloy, boasts the moving parts in high quality steel and alloys, assembled with particular attention, inspected and polished to ensure maximum functionality. All metal parts are protected by special finishes that guarantee protection against wear and corrosion. The traditional rounded back elegantly connects with the handle of the stock and thanks to its low profile it allows a quick and instinctive acquisition of the target. The breech box of the A300 Outlander boasts anodic oxidation which protects it from corrosion and abrasion.
The handguard, in resistant polymer, is made more pleasant thanks to the innovative texture. Its semi-square profile makes it easier to rest your finger. The rounded profiles and the absence of edges are designed to facilitate a quick and safe grip of the trigger. The use of technopolymer ensures the preservation of the color of those parts traditionally subject to rubbing and ensures a better sensation to the touch in cold climates. The eye of the trigger guard is enlarged to allow access to the trigger even when wearing gloves.
The slide and bolt resist corrosion and wear offering greater strength and reliability in carrying out their operations.
The safety button, with a new design, now offers a wider surface which makes it easier to operate. In case of accidental operations, the safety is protected and surmounted by a protruding edge which also enhances its aesthetics.
The trigger is entirely chromed for greater protection against corrosion.
The silver color distinguishes it from the other details of the rifle.
The fore-end features a streamlined, sleek line that lends harmony to the overall design of the A300 Outlander. The cap has a new polymer structure which makes it particularly light and insensitive to atmospheric attacks and corrosion.
A practical sling attachment is located on the front of the cap.
The stock offers maximum comfort and grip to ensure the highest performance when shooting. Made with carefully selected walnut wood for its characteristics of colour, design and resistance, it has a grip radius designed to better accommodate the shooter's hand and an ambidextrous upper finger rest.
The Beretta A300 Outlander semi-automatic is characterized by a particularly low number of assemblies. 5 are the main groups that make up the weapon and that the user can disassemble. This allows the weapon to be disassembled quickly and easily. A weapon that can be easily disassembled can be cleaned more quickly. Simple cleaning facilitates gun maintenance which, in turn, ensures its reliability over time.
The exclusive Beretta patented gas intake system, with self-cleaning cylinder and piston, is equipped with a compensator valve, also self-cleaning, which allows the excess pressure caused by the strongest cartridges to be automatically discharged to the outside: the result is that the rifle, without the need for adjustments or interventions, is capable of firing the weakest cartridges from 70 mm (24 g) to 76 mm (57 g).
The gas-operated system of the A300 Outlander semi-automatic has been revised and optimized to guarantee less gas dispersion.
Result: the system boasts a self-cleaning behavior which further minimizes maintenance and greatly reduces the fatigue to which the operating parts are subjected when heavy loads are used, guaranteeing a longer life for the weapon.
The new internal piston has been designed to provide constant cleaning of the shot residues inside the cylinder over time, increasing the efficiency of the weapon and reducing the need for maintenance. The elastic sealing band has a scraper surface to optimize cleaning.
The valve assembly integral with the barrel allows for easy assembly and disassembly of the barrel itself.
Made of tri-alloy steel using the exclusive integral cold forging process, which ensures perfect concentricity of the tubes, the barrel of the new Beretta A300 Outlander semiautomatic is exceptionally strong and light at the same time. Designed for the use of steel shot cartridges, it boasts an internal Mobilchoke profile with an elongated chamber-bore connection cone which improves the pattern and helps to reduce the feeling of recoil at the shoulder. The bore is fully chromed to ensure maximum durability and resistance to corrosion and wear and to increase the speed of the pellets in output, while the bore is black burnished externally.
The internal Beretta Mobilchoke chokes, with elongated cone, boast an internal profile designed to reduce friction, improve concentration and pattern distribution. Made of high-strength steel subjected to a final nickel-plating treatment, Beretta Mobilchoke chokes guarantee considerable protection against corrosion and resistance to the use of steel shot.
The interposition between the stock and the breech block of a technopolymer plate allows the angle and deflection of the stock to be varied without retouching, simply by varying the assembly position of this plate and the corresponding one in stainless steel inside the stock. It is also possible to obtain further bending values ??by replacing the pair of plates with the set supplied.
The capacity of the magazine is limited, in compliance with the hunting regulations in force in many countries, to 2 shots, by inserting a reducer. This reducer allows the use of the rifle with no more than three rounds (two in the magazine, one in the cartridge chamber). The Beretta factory provides directly, during the construction and assembly phase, to equip the A300 Outlander with this device. In some particular areas, hunting is allowed only with a shotgun with no more than two shots. In order to use the A300 Outlander in these areas, it is necessary to limit the magazine capacity to a single shot with the supplied reducer (operation to be performed by a competent gunsmith).
