92 A1

An Exclusive Series

On the 92 A1 series pistol the accessory rail (Picatinny MIL STD 1913) integrated with the frame, allows the assembly of aiming accessories or illuminators.
The recoil spring and spring guide are now a single assembly for quick and easy removal.
The disassembly bolt automatically returns to the closed position once the bolt is retracted.
Inside the frame, next to the disassembly bolt, a metal shock absorber has been inserted which cushions the impact of the slide against the frame during firing, distributing the stresses suffered to the advantage of a longer life of the gun.
Rear sight and front sight are removable for possible replacement with other types of sights of different heights.

The Beretta 92 A1 series pistol is a semi-automatic pistol with short barrel recoil and oscillating block geometric lock. When firing, the pressure produced by the combustion gases pushes back the bolt-barrel assembly. After a short stroke of the assembly, the locking block rotates and disengages the barrel from the bolt. The barrel stops against the frame while the breechblock, proceeding in its retrograde stroke, extracts the cartridge case by means of the extractor, cocks the hammer and compresses the recoil spring.
Consequently, the bolt, pushed by the recoil spring which extends, advances, removes a new cartridge from the magazine, introduces it into the barrel and causes barrel-bolt closure. The breechblock remains open after the last shot has been fired and the relative shell has been ejected.
